Avalon Isle

Avalon Isle is the covenstead for the American branch of the Order of the Royal Oak.   Located in the hills of East Tennessee, on the edge of the Great Smoky Mountains, our magical vale is home to several festivals and workshops throughout the year.   The leaders of Avalon Isle are Lady Amythyst, descendant of Sir George Carteret, Knight of the Order of the Garter and an original member of the Order of the Royal Oak, and Lord Taliesin, bard and historian of the Order.   Avalon Isle was founded to provide a center for higher esoteric learning, and a gathering point wherein the wise folks of every tradition might gather and share the grains of knowledge they have gathered.   To this end, Avalon Isle sponsored an annual festival to honor the Elder Gods during the month of October between 1990 CE and 2000 CE. We are pleased to announce that this festival, the Highlands of Tennessee Samhain Gathering was successfully resumed in 2006 CE, and will continue to be held as an annual event in the coming years. This year's Highlands of Tennessee Samhain Gathering will be 19 - 22 October 2007. We look forward to seeing all of our old friends again along with the new friends that we are certain the Elder Gods will send our way.
